On July 4, 2015, the 21 representatives of the state parties at the UNESCO world heritage convention voted unanimously to register “Hillsides, house and cellars of Champagne” on the list of world heritage sites, in the category of “Living cultural landscapes.” This is added to three monuments from the city of Reims that are already registered on the UNESCO world heritage list: The Reims cathedral, the old Saint-Remi abbey and the Tau palace.
